MOONCAKE FESTIVAL

*~* HAPPY MID-AUTUMN TO ALL *~*

The Mooncake Festival is also known as the Mid-Autumn Festival,
which falls on the 15th day of the eight month of the Chinese lunar calendar.
This is a historical festival rather than a religious one for the Chinese people.
It marks the rebellion against the Mongols
dating back to the 14th century in China.
Today, this festival is celebrated with savouring
mooncakes and a parade of lanterns.
